NAPIT: National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers
Next is NAPIT, and this is the organisation that focusses in on safety. It ensures that its electricians are assessed in the electrical installation and testing fields to enusre that they work and maintain the highest of standards. I share my knowledge of the BS7671 Wiring Regulations and show examples of my own work. Being a member of NAPIT also ensures that I am able to sign-off on any "notifiable" works, for example, a new consumer unit or work in a bathroom or kitchen is notifiable, as is creating any new circuits - you can read more about when I obtained my membership here. Before any electrical work is undertaken I will test your electrical installation to ensure that everything is at least safe and that any additional electrical work can take place.
